Song of Solomon

So, obviously, Solomon love him some Shulamite! Have you ever noticed that Solomon repeats himself over and over? Well, that's probably because he had 700 wives. This would also be a good reason not to mention any names throughout the entire book. That could just spoil the pomegranates.

"I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharoah's chariots."

Not just one horse but a whole company of horses? I guess as long as your wife knows she's loved, it doesn't matter what you call her, or at least it didn't for Solomon.

"King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon. He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem."

That just goes to prove that chicks dig slick rides. Oh, and did you catch that purple?

"Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned."

To conclude on a gratuitous note, love is an awesome thing. We shouldn't play around with, but instead should thank God for. God is love.
