The first "insight" to me was 2 Timothy 2:11-12. It is a faithful saying, for if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we suffer we shall also reign with Him. If we deny him, He will also deny us" Basically, Paul is saying stand by your guns because life is short.
2 Timothy 2:16 says "shun profane and vain babblings, for they will increase unto more ungodliness." Not only are we to abstain from it, but we're to shun it when we see it in others.
The last one is 2 Timothy 3:7, "Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." This is given as a sign of the end times. I believe we are seeing this today. This is also a warning of a trap we can fall into if we become obsessed with knowledge.
